Oregon Football Recruiting: Quarterback Cale Millen Commits To Ducks
Over the weekend, 3-Star Quarterback Cale Millen committed to Oregon Football.
The Oregon Ducks have added a much-needed arm to the Quarterback rotation for 2019. Over the weekend, Oregon received the commitment of 3-Star QB Cale Millen. Don’t let his status fool you. According to Andrew Nemec, Millen has a new found favorite in eating raw eggs and also has good arm strength and good instincts.
Millen could be considered early in the recruiting process. He has received offers from Northwestern and Arizona State. He was committed to the Wildcats, but reopened his recruitment upon visiting Eugene. He also has football in his blood. His father is former Washington and NFL Quarterback Hugh Millen.
Last season Quarterback Justin Herbert led Oregon to a 6-1 mark before going down with an injury.
Entering 2018, Herbert is projected as high as a Top 5 NFL Draft selection for the 2019 NFL Draft. He is expected to be the Starter for an Oregon Football Offense looking to take the next step in 2018 and could find himself making a tough decision to take it to the next level following the upcoming season. With the addition of Millen, Oregon adds to the QB Rotation with Braxton Burmeister and Tyler Shough currently in the mix.
The Oregon Ducks are starting to build their 2019 Recruiting Class and have added the most important Offensive piece in Cale Millen.
After struggling over the last several seasons and working with Graduate Transfers. While some worked out and made names for themselves, others struggled in the spotlight. The transition at Quarterback should at least be smoother if Herbert decides to depart.

Oregon Football now has six for the current recruiting class including Mase Funa, Keyon Ware-Hudson and Marques Caldwell on Defense and a Millen on Offense who shows promise being able to throw the ball and anticipate what the Defense is giving him. He has two early tools that could help him succeed in an Oregon Uniform.
