Former Oregon Duck Troy Brown took the NBA Combine by storm and showed out in key areas that could see him become an NBA Draft pick next month.

Over the last two months, Brown has been working toward the NBA Combine. Brown was measured up against 70 other players looking to make their mark and the former Oregon Duck measured well in several areas.

Brown was measured at 6 foot 6 ¾ with shoes and had an impressive wingspan at 6 foot 10 ¼. Brown weighed in at 208 pounds with just over 7 percent body fat. One area where he did not do so well was in the agility testing. He had a 33-inch vertical leap and a 3.28-second shuttle putting him in the middle of the group looking to go Professional.

Being a former 5-Star Commitment for the Oregon Ducks, it was clear that Brown had the ‘one and done’ ability and that clearly came to fruition. He had moments in the spotlight at Oregon where he had some good moments in the spotlight, but also at times looked like a Freshman. Some of those numbers have translated into his NBA Combine numbers. However, being in the middle of the group in agility shows that he is where he belongs.

The NBA Combine continues through Sunday and part of the process is to talk with respective future employers. Brown has taken the first step and has spoken with the Portland Trailblazers to start. According to Jason Quick, Brown has a workout scheduled with the team in the coming weeks. The Trailblazers hold the 24th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

If Brown is selected in the First Round of the NBA Draft, he would be just the second former Oregon player taken in the first round going back ten years(Aaron Brooks) and just the fifth NBA Draft selection in the last decade from the University of Oregon.
