The Oregon Ducks are working on a foundation for the future and family connections may be at the root of their future success.

Oregon Football has rediscovered their culture under Head Coach Mario Cristobal and it is rooted in fundamentals, playing together and has the atmosphere of a big family – three keys to what Cristobal hopes will bring success on the field. In the world of recruiting the team is making big strides.

The 2018 Recruiting Class continues to impress with four transfer recruits entering the fold. The Ducks have also put in work for the 2019 Recruiting Class, currently leading the Pac-12 and on Tuesday reached even further into the future offering their first recruit for the Class of 2021. In the world of College Recruiting, communication early and often has been a key for coaches like Nick Saban to bring in the best talent. The Ducks now have that mentality with a Head Coach that also worked the sidelines with Saban at Alabama.

The Oregon Ducks added Quarterback Cale Millen for the Class of 2019 earlier this month. His younger brother picked up an Oregon Football Offer following the win at the Eforce Invitational Championship at Clackamas High School over the weekend. Clay got the better of his older brother picking up the victory in four overtimes.

Clay Millen showed poise, along with arm strength and accuracy as the touchdown passes hit double digits between the two brothers. Both are clearly competitive and that is a key trait that Oregon Head Coach Mario Cristobal covets in his players.

The Millen’s are also not the first pair of brothers to play for Oregon Football at the same time. Currently, Oregon has Troy Dye and Travis Dye, both on opposite sides of the ball. In season’s past, Ty and Taj Griffin played together. Taj is entering his Senior year with the Oregon Ducks.

If both Clay and Cale end up with Oregon Football in the end, it will be the first time that two siblings play a key Offensive position at Quarterback. The Oregon Spring Game in 2021 may end up being a can’t miss football.
