While the Oregon Men’s Basketball team is in the offseason, Head Coach Dana Altman has been busy trying to make his team better for 2018.

The Ducks are already bringing in an important recruiting class with the likes of Bol Bol and Will Richardson along with a key returning Starter in Payton Pritchard, but the backcourt is an area of concern entering 2018.

According to 247 Sports, Oregon is hosting Graduate Transfer Guar Jadon Cohee this week. Cohee can play multiple positions on the court for Altman and the Ducks. The team is looking for a player to help Payton Pritchard to keep fresh legs on the floor. Last season, Pritchard took the team on his shoulders on several occasions and at the end of the year Press Conference, Alman admitted that he gave Pritchard a lot to handle for the 2017 season.

Jadon Cohee is 6 foot 4 out of British Columbia. Oregon has found success over the last several years finding players in Canada including Dillon Brooks and Dylan Ennis. Brooks was selected in the most recent NBA Draft and plays for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Oregon has been considering several transfer options entering 2018 that also included Joe Cremo and Matt Mooney, both who were offered scholarships according to 247 Sports, but neither have expressed much interest in taking a visit to Eugene to meet with Altman.

With the departure of Troy Brown to the NBA Draft along with Graduate Transfer Elijah Brown it is likely that Payton Pritchard will find the court and a Starting role again for the upcoming season. IT is likely that he will have a Freshman on the floor and Cohee could be in that group if he decides that Oregon is the right fit.
