After beating Arizona State with the most runs scored in a Women’s College World Series game, Oregon lost back to back games finishing the season at 53-10.

The Oregon Ducks had their backs against the wall for the second time this postseason on Saturday against Florida State and four errors on Defense along with the team unable to find their Offense led to being sent home for the second straight season from Oklahoma City.

Oregon sent Miranda Elish into the circle for the fourth straight time in the postseason. She threw four innings giving up six hits and two runs, but the opposition held Oregon off for the second straight game until late. Elish picked up just her second loss on the year and finished the 2018 Campaign with a team best 25-2 record.

Florida State Starter Kylee Hanson picked up her 29th win of the season going 6 2/3 giving up just a hit while striking out four. Oregon was again able to find Offensive momentum late in the game, but Hanson induced a total of 7 ground outs keeping Oregon in check.

The Oregon Ducks hit just .185 for the game and Florida State found ways to get to all three Oregon Starters who saw action in the game. Elish was followed in the fifth by Megan Kleist and Maggie Balint. Balint saw just her second NCAA Tournament appearance, but the experience of playing in the heat of Oklahoma City will pay off down the line.

Following the game, Head Coach Mike White said it may be a good idea to schedule games in Oklahoma City in the regular season to prepare players for what it will be like in May and June – a sentiment that may Oregon Fans probably would not mind seeing.
