Former Oregon Football Defensive End Dion Jordan had surgery recently to help him get on the field this season.

For Dion Jordan, life in the National Football League has not been easy. His early career has been plagued by injuries, mainly to his knees that have kept him out of the competition to get onto the field. He was selected third overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 2013 NFL Draft, entering the offseason with a torn labrum. The Dolphins took the gamble anyway and it has not paid off.

Jordan has also been suspended for violating the League’s Substance Abuse policy. He missed the entire 2015 season. He never failed a drug test, but his test was diluted resulting in a third strike and a season suspension. Dion Jordan was released by Miami last March and signed with Seattle less than two weeks later.

Jordan found some success on the field last season playing in the final five games registering 10 tackles and 5 sacks for the Seahawks. He enters 2018 with a new outlook and had a minor knee surgery on Thursday to ‘cleanup’ from his previous surgeries. He will miss 6 to 8 weeks and should be ready to go in time for NFL Training Camp.

Dion Jordan has to know his position entering 2018. He could be a very productive player for Carroll and the Seattle Defense. He has the attitude and physical ability. The hope is that injury and recovery time do not get in the way for the former Oregon Football Defensive End.. Seattle is light entering the season in the Defensive Secondary and the pass rush position will be one to watch for the entire season.
