The Oregon Ducks have again set up a season schedule set to challenge the team opening against two Top Five Teams from last season.

Oregon Volleyball continues to commit to a challenging schedule entering the 2018 season. Head Coach Matt Ulmer will take the Ducks on the road to Nebraska and Hawaii early in the non-conference slate. Last season, the Oregon Ducks made the NCAA Tournament but fell early losing to Brigham Young in the second round. This year’s team brings back experience and a new influx of talent.

The 2018 campaign begins with the Vert Challenge where the Oregon Ducks will start facing Nebraska and Texas. The non-conference slate also offers games that will test a young Oregon team including matchups with Minnesota, Penn State and a double-dip against Hawaii in Honolulu before opening Pac-12 Conference play against Oregon State.

Oregon will likely open the season unranked but could change that perception with a strong start. Lindsey Vander Weide and Willow Scott bring experience up front for the Ducks and in recent seasons, Oregon has found success blocking shots. That success should continue into the upcoming season. Ronika Stone was second on the team in points last season with 342 points. She was behind Taylor Agost with 405. Vander Weide had just one service error all of last season.

The Oregon Volleyball team has not been afraid in recent seasons to set up a challenging schedule. With the Vert Challenge the last few seasons facing the likes of Nebraska, Texas, and Florida. Oregon has also seen Hawaii in recent years. The last time Oregon faced Penn State they beat the Nittany Lions on their home floor. The matchup this season will be during the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge at Stanford.

Oregon will have 14 games on Pac-12 Network including the season opener against Oregon State. The Ducks will also close the regular season in Corvallis against the Beavers on Saturday, November 24th.
