Troy Brown has the benefit of Pre NBA Draft Workouts and being on the radar for teams looking for a player with plenty of upside.

Former Oregon Duck Troy Brown had a rough one-year stint in College before departing for the NBA. In his single season, Brown had some bright spots but also struggled – especially on the road. During the non-conference slate last season, Brown showed why he was a 5-Star Student-Athlete. Entering Pac-12 play be struggled to find his shot from long distance. His talk was always about helping the team to get better, but team consistency was an issue as the season went on.

On Thursday night, Troy Brown will likely become the 51st NBA Draft Selection All-Time from the University of Oregon. He follows last season when Oregon had three find homes in the National Basketball Association including Jordan Bell, Dillon Brooks, and Tyler Dorsey.

Troy Brown has had Pre Draft Workouts with several teams over the last two weeks including the Portland Trailblazers and the Washington Wizards. He also met with the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite his Freshman season struggles, the upside for Troy Brown is through the roof. He is one of the youngest prospects on the board. While his skill set is in the right place, his frame may need some work at the NBA Level.

Brown has versatility on the floor and played several roles with the Oregon Ducks. His strength is at Point Guard, but he can also Defend. He is 6 foot 7 with a 6 foot 10 wingspan. Defensively he could be a beast at the next level. The former Oregon Duck has been projected as a mid to late first round NBA Draft pick.

Troy Brown has gone into each team meeting knowing his strengths and his weaknesses. On Thursday night, he should hear his name called. The Final Sports Illustrated Mock Draft sees the Portland Trailblazers taking a chance on Brown with the 24th selection.
