Devon Allen, Arianna Washington, and Raevyn Rogers highlight past and present Oregon Ducks competing in the US Championships this weekend.

While the Collegiate Track and Field season came to a close earlier this month at Hayward Field, 29 current an former Oregon Ducks are taking part in the USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa. Despite finishing the NCAA Championships in 7th place, the Women of Oregon have been a strong group of contenders over the last decade.

Oregon will be well represented with Ariana Washington participating in the 100 Meters. She will be joined by Alaysha Johnson in the 100 Meter Hurdles and Sabrina Southland in the 800 meters. Former Oregon Alums will include Raevyn Rogers in the 800 meters and Phyllis Francis who will compete with Washington in the 200 Meters.

The track races will be the highlight for the Women of Oregon with Jenna Prandini and Deajah Stevens joining Ariana Washington to compete in both the 100 and 200 meters respectively.

On the Men’s side, the current class of Oregon Ducks includes Demarcus Simpson, coming off a less than perfect last-place finish in the NCAA Track and Field Championships after two jumps that were ruled foul. He will look to rebound this weekend. Matthew Centrowitz and Marcus Chambers highlight the track events along with Devon Allen in the 110 Meter Hurdles.

The 2018 USATF Outdoor Championships will set the tone for two future World Qualifying events in both London and Toronto later this summer. The 2018 Athletics World Cup takes place in England July 14th and 15th. The NACAC Senior Championships will be held in Toronto August 10th-12th.
