Former Oregon Quarterback Marcus Mariota will need to find success with his legs in 2018.

The last few seasons have been somewhat of a struggle for Marcus Mariota. Last season, the team did make it into the NFL Playoffs for the first time behind the 4-year Quarterback but struggled against the New England Patriots who ended their season in Foxboro. Since then, Mariota has been working with his Wide Receivers, spending quality time with his family and appears to be a little faster on his feet.

Entering the season he should be fully recovered from a leg injury that ended his season two years ago at Jacksonville with the team on the cusp of making the playoffs. As far as success, a new Head Coach should bring the team together around Mariota. He is the corner piece of the Tennessee Titans Offense. Mike Vrabel has already gone out and handpicked a Quarterbacks Coach that will help their young QB in his development.

Last season, the team struggled. As Mariota threw the ball downfield his Wide Receivers were not in a position to catch the ball resulting in a 15 interception season. The team has the pieces in place to flip that around this season. The team has also made an important move at Running Back in signing Dion Lewis. DeMarco Murray was cut and the experience of Lewis and an important piece in Derrick Henry who will be key to pass blocking again in 2018.

Dion Lewis enters the 2018 season healthy. Over the last few seasons, DeMarco Murray has been injured at key points in the season. The hope is with Lewis, the team can find holes at full speed to make a first down to extend drives on key situations and possessions. Last season saw too many stalled drives and the Offense was predictable on those third/fourth and long scenarios.
