Oregon Basketball Head Coach Dana Altman has spent enough time in Eugene that adding a Transfer to the roster seems to be a normal offseason occurrence.

Altman has done it again entering the 2018 season.

On Friday, Ehab Amin, the NCAA Leader in Steals last season announced on Twitter that he was committing to play his final season of eligibility for the Oregon Ducks. This is a huge get for a team that struggled last season in key spots on Defense. Amin is stronger on the Defensive end and has struggled on Offense posting a mark of just .290 from three-point range. Last season he hit 46 percent from the floor averaging just under 7 rebounds per game and setting the mark with 124 steals.

Ehab Amin is a 6 foot 4 shooting guard. He sat out last season with a hip injury and the move by Altman and the Ducks could be a gamble that pays off in the end. Last season Oregon struggled to find consistency on the floor and fell apart in key moments. In the end, the team made a late push for an NIT bid losing in the second round at Marquette.

Amin will compete for a Starting Job and could provide experience and level-headedness on the floor for a team that will be very young. Amin, along with Payton Pritchard and Paul White will work on building chemistry with a lot of incoming talent including Bol Bol, Will Richardson, and Louis King.

The Oregon Transfer should also play well with Sophomore Kenny Wooten. The experience of both players throughout the season could make for highlight material and help push the team back into the NCAA Tournament.

Altman went out and got his man and a player that could be a key to getting the team back to where they want to be in 2018.
