Former Oregon Duck Troy Brown followed his first NBA Game with a better follow-up scoring a double-double in the process.

In his first game back in his home city of Las Vegas earlier this week, Troy Brown posted solid numbers but had five turnovers. He turned it around on Monday posting his first double-double in a Washington Wizards Uniform finishing the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds in a loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Brown showed at Oregon that he had the potential to succeed at the next level.

Brown seems to be playing in a different gear than he did at Oregon. He is in his hometown of Las Vegas and that could be a difference maker. Add to that the fact that he is playing in the NBA Summer League with some of his former teammates and other former collegiate athletes who made their way to the next level in the NBA Draft and it is an early recipe for success in the NBA Summer League.

Troy Brown was the 15th selection in the NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards after spending a single season with Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks. He struggled at times as the team searched for chemistry last season, and it appears his new teammates have welcomed him with open arms and are helping push him to find success early in his professional career.

While the support for success was also there with the University of Oregon, the chemistry was only with the team for about half of the season in 2017. The Ducks missed the NCAA Tournament and lasted just two rounds in the NIT before losing in the second round against Marquette.

NBA Draft Writer Jackson Hoy had some positives to take from Troy Brown in his game on Monday night. The Washington Wizards beat Philadelphia 87-75. Brown led the way with 23 points and 8 rebounds off 9 for 22 shooting
