Oregon Football Quarterback Justin Herbert was named to two watch lists as the team gets set for Fall Camp.

On Monday and Tuesday, the University of Oregon announced that Starting Quarterback Justin Herbert made the Maxwell Award List for the Nation’s Best College Player. The following day he was added to the Davey O’Brien Watch List for the Top Quarterback. The accolades ahead of the 2018 season started several weeks ago for the Ducks Junior Signal Caller.

NFL Analysts have been salivating over Herbert since last season. His height, arm strength and pinpoint accuracy have been well documented. Before his injury last season Herbert had Oregon Football on a positive trajectory with a 6-1 start as the team was starting to make noise and also make some moves in the Top 25. Then, a broken clavicle sidelined him for six weeks and Oregon struggled to find their way on Offense behind then Freshman Braxton Burmeister.

When it comes to Elite Quarterbacks at Oregon, Marcus Mariota reigns supreme in many categories. Herbert has shown versatility in two seasons and has passed for 3000 yards in just 13 games, besting Mariota in the category.

Last season, in his eight games he played Oregon was 6-2 and averaged close to 50 points per game. The Ducks struggled last season making the Las Vegas Bowl and finished the year being embarrassed in a loss against Boise State. Oregon never really seemed prepared from the first snap. Then Head Coach Willie Taggart departed the week prior to the game putting Mario Cristobal as Interim Head Coach for the game against the Broncos.

Justin Herbert enters his Junior Season with two seasons of experience. The team has upgraded at Wide Receiver with the addition of Transfer Tabari Hines who could be a top target this season.
