Quarterback Justin Herbert enters the 2018 season with more muscle and is ready to lead Oregon Football.

Oregon Football Quarterback Justin Herbert went into last Fall with more of a crew cut. Earlier this week at Pac-12 Media Days in Los Angeles he appeared with longer hair causing a reaction from Head Coach Mario Cristobal as he reminded the media that he was in fact a Quarterback, not a Hollywood Hunk in the making.

After watching the struggles from last season following a 6-2 start under Herbert, one thing is clear. Oregon will need to protect their Signal Caller this season better than they did a year ago. No one knows this better than Mario Cristobal. His roots are in the Offensive Line and with several key additions in the offseason along with players focusing on fundamentals always, the team is well prepared for the upcoming season.

Last season, Tyrell Crosby did not allow a sack on the Quarterback from his position for the entire season. Herbert has spent the offseason not only working in the weight room, but also working the playbook. He has better fundamental understanding of the Running Backs role entering the season, which should pay big dividends if he can use his feet when the option presents itself.

With Justin Herbert leading last season, Oregon Football put up big numbers averaging close to 50 points per game. Without him, the Oregon Offense struggled to reach the 20 point mark. Despite losing a key player in Charles Nelson to graduation, the Ducks have reloaded at Wide Receiver with Transfer Tabari Hines from Wake Forest along with some incoming talent that will see the field in 2018.

Bryan Addison was a late addition to the 2018 Recruiting Class and can play both sides of the ball. He will see the field, possibly on both sides this season. Dillon Mitchell, Jaylon Redd, and Johnny Johnson III to the position.
