Marcus Mariota should have a better opportunity to get the ball into the hands of his Wide Receivers this season.

The Tennessee Titans have overhauled just about every aspect of their Offense to help the former Oregon Quarterback find success. A new coaching staff, new players, and new schemes will surround the team this season that will look to find their way to back to back Playoff appearances after losing last season in New England to the Patriots.

Last season the issue was distance. It was not Mariota’s accuracy that was the question as much as the speed and routes of his Wide Receivers. Mariota threw 15 interceptions to just 13 touchdowns last year and the team still made it to the Playoffs where the former Duck earned valuable experience playing in the NFL Postseason.

The addition of Wide Receiver Dion Lewis should help Mariota find his rhythm early in the year. He is also an experienced Wide Receiver who should fit well into the Tennessee Titans system. Mariota has already spent several weeks with his Wide Receiver group in the offseason helping to guide the younger players and find chemistry on the field with them and also continue working with his teammates over the last few seasons with Tennessee.

The test for Tennessee comes early in the Preseason with the team facing Green Bay at Lambeau Field. I expect that none of the typical stars will play much, if at all with Aaron Rodgers looking to comeback from a disappointing season last year and Mariota looking to find early success before the start of the regular season.
