For the second straight season, Oregon Football has introduced several uniform looks for the 2018 season with several key details.

Two seasons ago was the last season of the Gameday Uniform Reveal. When Oregon Football seemed intent on theming Game Weeks. The one that stands out was the Oregon Trail Uniform – still one of my favorites, but it left fans looking for uniforms that were more simple, with the school colors and not looking like California with their throwback “Webfoot” Uniforms from a few seasons ago(I actually own one of those.)

On Wednesday evening, Head Coach Mario Cristobal unveiled what Oregon Football will be wearing this season. There is a standard Oregon Green with Yellow highlights, along with a Yellow Uniform with Green highlights. The two standout uniforms for the upcoming season are one all white – stormtrooper esque uniform for road games. My favorite is the all black with green numerals and green trim.

Of course, Oregon could go All-White at home, but they need permission to do so from the NCAA, which is one provision that is usually granted.

While I do miss the unique uniform stylings under Mark Helfrich and Chip Kelly, I will also say there is something to be said about simple tradition. I am a Penn State Grad after all and it doesn’t get more simple that blue and white. I always enjoy reminiscing about the Construction cone socks of “The Duck” uniform or the game against Cal several seasons ago where Oregon wore Black and Pink, and the Golden Bears wore throwback uniforms – looking like some sort of Easter Egg Hunt gone wrong.
