Aside from Fall Camp, Oregon Football has been busy over the last few weeks adding key opponents to future schedules and the Georgia Bulldogs are on the list.

Oregon Football is getting ready for the 2018 season, but the future non-conference slate is getting better. Earlier this week, Oregon agreed to face the Georgia Bulldogs in the Chick fil-a Kickoff game to open the 2022 season. Other recent additions to the Oregon Football schedule include Michigan State and Boise State.

With the addition of Georgia to the schedule, Oregon Football is showing that they are not afraid to play anyone. They are up for the challenge, as they have always been. The issue is not facing a quality non-conference opponent, but more the logistics surrounding it. Many of the current Oregon Coaches also have ties to Georgia and I expect the trip may also involve some in-state Georgia potential recruits that Oregon will have in for the game.

Oregon has faced the Georgia Bulldogs just once. It was the 1977 season opener and the Ducks lost to the Bulldogs 26-17. Oregon Football will be well versed in traveling to open the season in the coming years. Next year, Oregon faces Auburn in Dallas, Texas to open the season.

The Oregon Ducks have scheduled 24 non-conference opponents between 2019 and 2030 and all in all things for the Ducks look better moving forward in the non-conference slate than they have over the last few seasons.

This year Oregon faces three straight non-conference games against Bowling Green, Portland State, and San Jose State. In the coming seasons, the Ducks will face the already mentioned Auburn Tigers along with Ohio State(home and away), BYU, Texas Tech, Boise State, Baylor, and Michigan State.
