Former Oregon Football Running Back Royce Freeman is showing he could be a solid Fantasy Threat before the start of the 2018 season.

If you were a fan of Royce Freeman when he was at Oregon, the former Duck is now showing his impressive skill set in the National Football League. Through three NFL Preseason games, he has two touchdowns, most recently a 24-yard run against the Washington Redskins. Freeman seems to be getting a better grasp of his Offensive Role as the Preseason goes on, and that is how it should be for the Broncos Rookie.

Freeman’s highlight came early in the game in the form of a 1st Quarter Touchdown as Denver picked up a Preseason win on the road 29-17 over the Denver Broncos. Royce Freeman has shown patience and good vision in each of the games this NFL Preseason and should still be in line for a possible Starting Role this season.

As it stands, it appears that the Denver Broncos are more Running Back by Committee entering the final week of the Preseason. While Freeman has touchdowns, the yards have been more spread out between the former Oregon Duck, former Colorado Running Back Philip Lindsay, along with Veterans, Devontae Booker and De’Angelo Henderson Sr. One thing is clear, youth will be served at Running Back with Booker, Freeman, and Lindsay all with under two seasons of experience at the position.

Last season, the Denver Broncos leaned on Veteran CJ Anderson who was released on the offseason. Preseason games will help players get used to the grind of what they will face this season.
