Oregon Football opens the 2018 season hosting the Bowling Green Eagles on Saturday.

The offseason has been filled with working on everything from fundamentals to gaining muscle and getting into better football shape, all of which will come to a culmination on Saturday.

Bowling Green comes into Autzen Stadium earning a hefty paycheck for coming West to play Oregon, but also brings and Offense that was able to put of 35 points per game last season behind a backup Quarterback Jarrett Doege. The passing game will be on full display and that is one aspect that has the attention of Oregon Football Head Coach Mario Cristobal, “They get it out quick, they take their shots. They are going to get the 50-50 balls or they are going to take pass interference penalties and move the sticks.”

Cristobal is happy that his Offensive Line has found a way to be more vocal through Fall Camp. Both Quarterback Justin Herbert and Starting Center Jake Hanson have stepped up their vocal game, which should help produce better results on the field this season.

"You never really get to enjoy the game until the season is over.Mario Cristobal talks about how well he will sleep this season."

Quarterback Justin Herbert spent the offseason getting better. He has added muscle and confidence. From his Freshman season until now he has become not only a vocal leader of Oregon Football but one on the field the team will need to depend on all season. Aside from fans, he will also have eyes from the next level watching his every move. Herbert is already being considered a coveted NFL Draft pick following this season.

On the final day of Fall Camp, the Junior Signal Caller threw with pinpoint accuracy in 7 on 7 drills and he is ready to help show what Oregon Football can be in 2018, “I think Offensively we’ve done a good job. It’s been nice to go against the Defense. They make us better a ton. I’m excited to get after it.”
