The injury bug has bitten Oregon Football for the second straight season.

On Monday, it was announced that Tight End Cam McCormick was done for the season after breaking his leg against Bowling Green in the Oregon Football home opener on Saturday.

Following the game, Head Coach Mario Cristobal said he was waiting for X-Ray results, but could be a ‘significant’ injury. In his Monday Morning Press Conference it was announced that the Oregon Sophomore Tight End broke his leg in the first quarter against Bowling Green. He was carted off the field and seen on the field following the game in a scooter.

The Oregon Ducks are too familiar with injuries in recent years. Last season, the Ducks went six weeks without Quarterback Justin Herbert, who was down with a broken clavicle. In recent seasons, Tight End Pharoah Brown comes to mind in the game against Utah. With McCormick done for the year, Oregon does have options to go to.

Jacob Breeland is the other Tight End with experience from last season in an Oregon Uniform. I expect he will Start. Transfer Kano Dillon saw playing time vs Bowling Green, but primarily as a blocker. Oregon Football also has a talent in Freshman in Spencer Webb who may now also see playing time this season with McCormick on the sideline.

Oregon Football has two weeks until Pac-12 play begins with the Stanford Cardinal visiting Autzen Stadium. It is a good time over the next two weeks to see what options you have that will take you through the bulk of your Regular season. Expect to see numerous tight ends in the lineup against both Portland State and San Jose State.
