2018 Oregon Football vs Portland State Live Stream, Who To Watch For The Ducks
Oregon Football welcomes the Portland State into Autzen Stadium on Saturday for a morning kickoff at 11 am Pacific Time.
Oregon Tops Portland State, 62-14
The Oregon Ducks got off to a sloppy start last week against Bowling Green. The gameplan was for a better start and finish against the Falcons. This week in Practice, one thing the team worked on was tempo, which should be on display against Portland State. One statistic that stands out from last week is glaring.
The Portland State Defense is giving up 10.4 yards per play after their loss against Nevada last weekend. It was a 72-19 loss. Last season, Portland State did not win a game going 0-12. Last week Portland State Quarterback Davis Alexander went 13 for 32 for 224 yards and two touchdowns, so he can throw the ball. Oregon should be able to keep him off balance with more formidable Defensive Line. I expect Oregon will go after Alexander on a regular basis.
Last week the Nevada Defense kept PSU Running Game in check. The team rushed for less than 80 yards on the ground and as we all know when a team is one-dimensional they are not going to come away with a win.
For Portland State, the strongest position may be at Tight End where the team returns five athletes, including a letter winner from a year ago. For Oregon, the Ducks lost Tight End Cam McCormick last weekend to a leg injury. Saturday will be a day for Oregon Football to see what they have entering Pac-12 play in two weeks.
I expect the second half will be filled with some new faces on the field. With the updated Red Shirt Rule, teams can now play student-athletes for four games WITHOUT burning their redshirt season. Tyler Shough and Spencer Webb are two players who could very well play on Saturday vs Portland State at some point.
Autzen Zoo will have Live Coverage starting at 10 am Pacific Time. Oregon Football and Portland State kickoff at 11 am Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network from Autzen Stadium.
