Stats: 22/33 for 253 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

I’m a big proponent of the age-old mantra “Talent can only take you so far.” In Lock’s case, he might be the second most talented passer in the class. There’s a case to be made his arm is right up there with Herbert’s. His performance, however, simply hasn’t been on a consistent basis. He rarely shows up in big games and has padded his stats against the lesser SEC competition. But here’s what I have to say: Lock, on his A-game, is an NFL quarterback. He’s fluid with his rollouts, strong in the pocket, and can catapult the ball like a 9th century Norweigan Viking launching flaming rocks at enemies. Lock can be a next-level player, it’s all up to him.
