Pac-12 Power Rankings: Oregon Stays Put Despite Loss

To be quite frank, we’re looking at two mediocre one-loss squads here. And by power conference standards, these teams flat out stink. Really, you shouldn’t be able to lose against San Diego (but it was on the road! #sarcasm) and still remain in the top two-thirds of the conference power rankings, but here we are.

Although I’ve just bashed both the Beavers and the Buffaloes, I expect these teams to be much, much better by season’s end. Tres Tinkle, the son of legendary coach Wayne Tinkle (Son of Wanye! This kid must really be something! #sarcasmagain), has been excellent so far, and the Thompson duo of Ethan and Stephen are also performing admirably. If old man Wayne can figure out the parts around those three, the Beavers can still have a special season by their standards. Same goes for Colorado coach with the Wright boys (Namon and McKinley) and Lucas Siewart.
