Oregon Football Wide Receiver Brenden Schooler will be out for close to the first month of the season as he recovers from a foot injury.

The injury bug has bit the Oregon Ducks early in Fall Camp as a veteran wide receiver will miss at least the non-conference schedule after a procedure earlier this week to repair a foot injury. Brenden Schooler, one of the more reliable Wideouts over the last two seasons for Oregon Football went down with the injury on Monday. On Wednesday he was out with his teammates, but on crutches at practice helping out where he could.

Schooler was not the main target last season by any means, having 21 catches for 203 yards and a touchdown. His impact was most felt on special teams where he came up with seven tackles. His impact will be missed on both sides of the ball as Oregon Football opens the season against Auburn at the end of the month.

With Brenden Schooler out for the first quarter of the regular season, Oregon will turn to its recruiting class to fill the void and one player stands out as up to the challenge. Micah Pittman had quite the day on Saturday on the practice fields for Fan Day, hauling in a full extension catch that wowed the fans in attendance. He has great hands and speed. Oregon also has an experienced Jaylon Redd who will likely take a starting spot in the Offense.

Oregon also has transfer Juwan Johnson from Penn State as well as Johnny Johnson III in the mix.

With a four to six week injury, it is expected that Schooler may be back in time for the Ducks Pac-12 opener at Stanford, but with the amount of talent Oregon has at Wide Receiver, Schooler should not feel the need to be rushed back onto the field.

Oregon Football faces the Auburn Tigers in the Advocare Classic on August 31st. Kickoff is set for 4:30 pm Pacific Time on ABC.
