Following another week of Fall Camp, and entering the most important week as the team prepares for Auburn, several key players are banged up as we approach the game vs the Tigers.

Last weekend, Oregon Football lost Freshman Wide Receiver Mycah Pittman for at least the first month of the season with a shoulder injury. At the time, Head Coach Mario Cristobal said that Pittman would be back this season, likely the earliest vs Stanford, but Cal may be more realistic.

Following another week of practice, several players are in the ‘banged up’ category. In his time with Oregon, this typically means guys will play in a game but have something that is more of a minor injury where they may not be 100 percent.

One player that Oregon will need vs Auburn is Wide Receiver Juwan Johnson who is out with some muscle cramps but should be good to go vs the Tigers next week. Johnson transferred from Penn State for his senior season and is expected to play a key role on offense this season. He will likely find a role in the slot to open the year, but his size and strength could move him up the depth chart to a one or two as he becomes more comfortable with the playbook.

Tight End Jacob Breeland is also good to go following what Cristobal said was a good Fall Camp for the Senior. He is expected to play a big role on the offensive front in terms of blocking against the Tigers front seven.

Another Tight End, Cam McCormick is coming along following an injury that cost him most of the season last year. Cristobal is confident that McCormick will be back sooner rather than later saying he is doing what he needs to do to get ready. For the run game to be successful against an experienced Auburn Tigers Defense, the Tight End will play a key role in the game next week.

Oregon Football meets Auburn on Saturday, August 31st in the Advocare Classic. Kickoff is set for 4:30 pm Pacific Time on ABC.
