Oregon Football is coming off a last-second loss to Auburn where lessons were learned and we saw what this team can do this season. Now, they need to bounce back and I believe they will.

Here is what I will be watching on Saturday.

Can Oregon’s Offense Finish An Opponent?

Over the last two seasons, Oregon Offensive Coordinator Marcus Arroyo had received more than his fair share of criticism on play calling. Against Auburn, the Ducks played better in the first half than the second. The run game was non-existent in the final two quarters. Earlier this week, Arroyo said his plan was to not go as easy on the Wide Receivers. We’ll see if Oregon opens things up a bit. Keep in mind, Oregon has had injury issues at the position. Transfer Juwan Johnson did not see the field vs Auburn due to an injury and Micah Pittman and Brandon Schooler are both out with injuries.

There Are No Kicking Game Woes…..for Nevada

One glaring weakness vs Auburn was the kicking game. How do you miss a 20-yard extra point? Junior Adam Stack came in for the ‘assist’ shortly after the miss, but why did he not start? I expect the Ducks will have this one sorted out for today considering the opposing kicker is Superman after hitting a 65 yarder last week in the Wolf Pack win over Purdue.

Nevada May Be A Good Opponent To Gain Experience

On Saturday, I expect to see more players in the game. Against Auburn, players without a lot of experience remained on the sideline. While Kayvon Thibodeaux saw time on the field he had just one tackle. Troy Dye had a team-high 15 last week and is out to set the pace for the season. We should see more of a rotation on the Defensive Line vs Nevada.

Oregon Football returns home to Autzen Stadium to take on Nevada. Autzen Zoo will have Live Coverage starting at 3:30 pm. Kickoff is set for just after 4:30. The game will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network.
