Tennessee Titans Quarterback Marcus Mariota had one his best games of the season, along with having protection to throw for three touchdowns in a 24-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

After what has been a frustrating season of being sacked and hurried, it appeared it may be more of the same for the former Oregon Quarterback on Sunday, but the Tennessee Titans Offensive Line gave Mariota time to throw and time for Titans Wide Receivers to become open. Mariota threw for three touchdowns early going 18 for 27 for 227 yards in the process.

Mariota has found a connection with Rookie AJ Brown and I hope it continues. Brown had two touchdowns on the afternoon, including one for 55 yards. The third score was to Corey Davis that was a timing route. After being sacked nine times last week against Jacksonville, Mariota stayed in the pocket trusting his offensive line. He even gave them a thank you in the locker room at the end of the game.

It has not been an easy start to the season for the former Oregon Duck. However, this could be the start of a turn around for the Tennessee Titans. With the AFC South wide open and the Colts falling on Sunday to the Oakland Raiders. In looking at the AFC North Standings, everyone has the same record at 2-2. The Titans have the best road record at 2-1 but have a lot of work to do in the Conference losing both of their games to AFC South opponents in the first month.

Tennessee has some challenges in the coming weeks including games against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Next week the Titans host the Buffalo Bills who lost to New England on Sunday. Tennessee and Buffalo kick off at 10 am Pacific Time. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
