The Oregon Football Defense has played well, but the team will have to have a complete game effort vs USC on Saturday.

In looking at this matchup Dave Bartoo from the College Football Matrix is calling another down to the wire game for the Oregon Ducks. He says it will be a three-point game with Oregon getting the win. If USC comes out as they did against Notre Dame, it won’t be close, but both the Ducks and Trojans have been trending upward on both sides of the ball in recent weeks according to Bartoo.

Since it is Pac-12 After Dark, Bartoo said we should not be surprised it is deadlocked at 27 heading into overtime the way the last few weeks have gone for Oregon Football. While the Ducks are looking to keep top ten momentum, there is another Pac-12 game that has the attention of the College Football Matrix.

Two weeks ago Oregon ended the ‘dream’ for Washington, but today the Huskies have an opportunity to knock off one of the top teams in the Pac-12 South Division in Utah. Bartoo says, don’t bet on Chris Peterson and the Huskies when they are down and he anticipates a good game in Seattle today between the Huskies and Utes. Utah is favored by a field goal, but Washington has the momentum to end the dream for Utah and take them out of the top ten.

Both games on Saturday will have big implications moving forward. With a Utah and Oregon win, the push toward the Pac-12 Championship game for both will continue. If both teams are in the top ten in December when they potentially meet, the winner could find themselves into the College Football Playoff.

Utah and Washington play Saturday at 1 pm PT on FOX. Oregon faces USC on the road at 4 pm Pacific Time on FOX.
