Just how rare? UConn does not lose at home. They haven’t lost there since 2013, but the Ducks took care of business Monday night, 74-56.

Sabrina Ionescu was not the typical scoring machine she can be, but she did more than enough finishing with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Ruthy Hebard was able to score early and often and was the recipient of several assists from Ionescu. Hebard had 22 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

UConn opened the scoring, but the Ducks came back with a 10-0 run from the start and did not look back. Oregon shot close to 50 percent from the floor forcing UConn into 15 turnovers. The Ducks turned it into a very productive 17 points. From the start, UConn seemed out of their game. Oregon very well could have been.

The Oregon Ducks were playing their third game in five days and traversed the country after the win at Colorado on Saturday to face UConn Monday night. They did not let the top-five matchup get in the way of their focus and Head Coach Kelly Graves said after the game that he was proud of his team, but the Huskies are still the standard.

Minyon Moore played a big role on the defensive end for Oregon helping the Ducks to 8 steals and getting down the floor quickly to interrupt the UConn offense from finding much of a rhythm. UConn shot 39 percent for the game and had just 14 points in the paint to the Ducks 44 points.

The Oregon Ducks checked another box as they push their way into March. They beat Team USA at Matthew Knight Arena, and have topped UConn on their home floor ending a 68 game home winning streak for the Huskies. From the start, it was all business for the Oregon Ducks.
