Oregon football makes huge splash with 4-star DB Trejon Williams commitment
Oregon football landed one of its top targets in the 2022 recruiting class in four-star defensive back Trejon Williams on Friday.
Cue the happy music; Oregon just landed another four-star recruit in its 2022 class.
After picking up a commitment from four-star quarterback Tanner Bailey a few weeks ago, all had been quiet on the recruiting trail for the Ducks.
That was until Friday afternoon when they landed four-star in-state defensive back Trejon Williams over the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Indiana, Oregon State, Penn State, USC, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
Just about every Pac-12 team wanted him, but the best players go to Oregon.

Williams is ranked the No. 211 overall prospect in the 2022 class and No. 2 prospect from the state of Oregon, according to the composite. He’s also the No. 11 safety in the class and 247Sports has him even higher, listing him as the No. 137 prospect in the class and ninth-best safety.
Mario Cristobal put out the bat signal earlier in the afternoon and that’s when everyone knew something was going on.
Williams is going to come in and compete for playing time early on with his 6-foot-0, 195-pound frame. There could be an opening in 2022 when Jordan Happle is gone and this is just another example of Cristobal reloading instead of rebuilding which is why Oregon is always at the top of the Pac-12.
With the commitment, Oregon moves into the top-20 nationally at No. 17 and Williams becomes the highest-ranked pledge in the Ducks’ 2022 class. This group is just getting started as he’s just the seventh commitment for Oregon in 2022.
Good things to come for Oregon.
