I have been very open about my excitement for Justin Flowe in the upcoming season. After injuring his knee as a freshman, he missed the entire year and the hype train was stalled out. Fans had to wait at least another year for Flowe to break out, but with his first spring almost in the books and a chance to show off in the spring game, he is about to become a star.

Mario Cristobal even spoke highly of his redshirt freshman linebacker earlier this spring, stating that the chances of him breaking out are “extremely high”.

That’s not surprising given where he was ranked as a high school prospect. In fact, he was the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2020 class and top overall inside linebacker, according to 247Sports. He looks the part of a budding superstar and he has a chance to prove it on Saturday.

The starting linebackers seem to be set in stone right now with Mase Funa, Isaac Slade-Matautia, Noah Sewell, Adrian Jackson, and even Kayvon Thibodeaux standing up but don’t count out Flowe just yet. With a strong showing on Saturday, it’d be tough to keep him out of the starting lineup.

In terms of pure talent, Flowe has all of it. Time to see it in action.
