Jevon Holland is a special talent and if he played a more sought-after position on the defensive side of the ball, he’d be a lock as a first-rounder. Unfortunately, teams don’t often take safeties in the first round and he may very well be the best available at the position.

Following a breakout sophomore season in 2019, Jevon Holland joined a handful of teammates and opted out of the 2020 campaign in order to prepare for the NFL draft.

Sure, his stock could have exploded and he could have snuck into that first round if he had played in 2020 and impressed, but he’s a pretty solid lock as an early second-rounder. Experts have him going no later than the middle of round two but I see him getting scooped up by the Eagles at No. 37 overall as one of their biggest needs is safety.

The former Jim Thorpe Award finalist and second-team All-Pac-12 member exploded as a sophomore for 66 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and four pass deflections. He was an absolute ballhawk over his two-year career with the Ducks, recording nine interceptions and 10 pass breakups.

How good is he? One former NFL star compared him to Charles Woodson. Yes, he’s that good.
