1. Quarterback

The easiest choice for No. 1 in the world.

Oregon’s quarterback battle is going to be monitored on a national level this Saturday as well as into the fall as the Ducks boast four guys who can really get after it.

The first is Anthony Brown who has been taking all the first-team reps this spring and QB1 looks like it’s his job to lose. Mario Cristobal has been praising his senior grad transfer from Boston College despite not being all that productive during the 2020 season. He’s one of the main reasons Tyler Shough decided to transfer out.

Next, there’s Ty Thompson who is a top-50 recruit from the 2021 class and he’s enrolled early and ready to go. He’s ready to prove that he can be the next face of Oregon as he helps lead the Ducks the way Trevor Lawrence and Tua Tagovailoa did as freshmen.

After those two, Robby Ashford and Jay Butterfield, both former four-star prospects from the 2020 class, will get an opportunity to prove their worth. Everyone seems to be counting these two out, but they have enough talent to surprise.

The quarterback battle will be fun to watch on Saturday afternoon in Eugene.
