The first full spring since 2019 is almost in the books as Oregon football will cap it off with the annual spring game on Saturday afternoon at Autzen Stadium.

Unfortunately, fans won’t be allowed to attend the event as Oregon announced there would be no attendance with everything still going on. While it’s unfortunate, fans will still have the option to watch the game on TV as it airs on Pac-12 Network at 2 p.m. PT.

With about a dozen newcomers to keep an eye on as well as a handful of All-American-caliber talents littered across the depth chart, the spring game will be must-see TV.

Let’s dive into some predictions for the annual scrimmage. And yes, they’re bold.

3. Three different cornerbacks record an interception

With the cornerback battle heating up, there are going to be 4-5 guys really fighting for that last starting job across from Mykael Wright.

DJ James is the current favorite due to his experience in the starting lineup, but you can’t count out Dontae Manning, Trikweze Bridges, or Jaylin Davies. All three of those guys will be nipping at James’ heels for the remainder of the offseason leading up to the start of the 2021 season and they’re going to make some noise on Saturday.

Three different cornerbacks will record an interception during the spring game and I believe that Wright will be one of them. Outside of Wright’s pick, I’m going with Manning and Davies to snag the other two as they make their case for the starting job.

I pegged the cornerback position as one of the battles to watch during the spring game and this is just going to add fuel to the already-intense fire.
