2. Oregon has the best receivers in the country

Wow. Just wow. Those are really the only words I have for the receiving corps because I’m still at a loss for words.

Dont’e Thornton had himself quite the scrimmage, catching three passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. It was the first look fans got at him and he didn’t disappoint.

And then there was Troy Franklin who led the team with four receptions for 93 yards. The two freshmen led the team in receiving and looked like budding stars in the receiving corps. To say they lived up to the hype would be a massive understatement.

Kris Hutson had three catches for 49 yards and the tight ends played well, too. Terrance Ferguson had four catches for 60 yards in his debut and Moliki Matavao caught a 15-yard pass.

All these guys played really well and that’s not even mentioning the likes of Mycah Pittman, Devon Williams, Johnny Johnson, Isaah Crocker, and Josh Delgado.

Yeah, this might actually be the most loaded receiving corps in the nation.
