There’s one big name left on top of Mario Cristobal’s board in the 2021 recruiting class. That’s right, Oregon football still has one player left on the board who could be on campus in a couple of months.

With the 2021 class starting to arrive on campus this summer, Cristobal is hoping that five-star defensive end JT Tuimoloau is one of them.

The No. 1 prospect in the country, according to 247Sports, has five finalists on his list and he’s in the middle of taking official visits and Oregon is firmly in the mix, according to a report. If the Ducks can land Tuimoloau, that already-solid defense becomes even scarier.

Here’s why he should commit to Oregon this summer.

3. Clear path to the NFL

There aren’t many programs that have produced NFL talent at the rate of Oregon over the years and with the talent that Mario Cristobal continues to bring in, it doesn’t look like that’s going to change any time soon.

In fact, there’s a Duck who is considered the top NFL draft prospect in the 2022 class and he happens to play the same position as Tuimoloau. While Ohio State and Alabama have put their fair share of elite defensive linemen in the NFL, Oregon will be the latest to do so and the Ducks have proven they don’t ruin top talent.

Kayvon Thibodeaux was a top five-star defensive end when he came in with the 2019 class and he has done nothing but live up to the hype in this defense. Tuimoloau should see this and realize that Oregon will get him to the NFL as a potential No. 1 overall selection.
