Oregon football the new leader for 4-star WR Isaiah Sategna
Mario Cristobal is dipping into SEC country quite a bit lately and after landing his highest-ranked commitment in the 2022 class from four-star linebacker TJ Dudley from Alabama, Oregon football is now the presumed favorite for four-star wide out Isaiah Sategna from Arkansas.
Sategna decommitted from Texas A&M a couple of weeks ago and took a trip to Oregon shortly after to check out the Ducks.
Apparently, that visit to Eugene has changed the course of his recruitment as he recently named a top two of USC and Oregon and the Ducks are the current favorite, holding 50 percent of his crystal ball predictions on 247Sports. Texas A&M holds 44 percent of the predictions but those came before his original commitment to the Aggies and Arkansas has six percent.
Living in Fayetteville, you’d think that Sategna would want to stay close to home and join the Razorbacks or at the very least, stay in the SEC. That’s not the case.
Despite his father coaching track at Arkansas and him running track at a high level in high school (he ran a 10.80 100-yard dash), he is looking to head to the West Coast. And Oregon is the program to beat, even though he’s fresh off a visit to USC.
Sategna would add to Oregon football’s elite WR corps
Troy Franklin and Dont’e Thornton committed to Oregon’s 2021 class and enrolled early and both showed that they can play at the collegiate level during the spring game.
Add them to a receiving corps that’s already incredibly deep and talented and Oregon has one of the best group of targets in the nation. Sategna has to see that and immediately become intrigued because he’ll never have to worried about getting double-teamed or focused with so many legitimate targets on the roster.
Soon, he could become the Ducks’ latest pledge from SEC country.
