Oregon football’s offense is going to be a problem this season. The Ducks are loaded at just about every position group from quarterback (albeit unproven) to running back to receiver. Even the tight end room is looking pretty strong after landing two four-star prospects in the 2021 class.

Mario Cristobal and Co. have a lot of talent to work with on offense and they might just have the best unit in the Pac-12 and a potential top-10 group nationally as long as the quarterback situation is figured out and it’s not a complete disaster.

Fresh off another Pac-12 title, the Ducks are hoping to get production from some under-the-radar guys in 2021 to lead them back to the conference championship and even a playoff.

Which offensive Ducks will break out this season?

Terrance Ferguson is an easy choice for me here as I had him on my list of true freshmen who could start in 2021 as well.

The early enrolled tight end was one of the top prospects in the country at his position in the 2021 class. In fact, the four-star recruit was the No. 10 tight end in the class and he looks like someone who’s going to contribute right away.

Ferguson had a fantastic spring which was highlighted by the spring game and judging by the Ducks’ need for a tight end to step up, he’s the perfect candidate.

Spencer Webb, Patrick Herbert, and DJ Johnson could also fill that role, but the ceiling of Ferguson’s might just be the highest. He flashed his potential all spring and the staff could do nothing but rave about him. We saw the results in the annual scrimmage.

I’m predicting a big year from the true freshman tight end.
