Oregon football’s 2022 recruiting class is coming together nicely and the Ducks have gone from just a handful of commitments before the month of July to 16.

Moreover, Oregon has gone from the No. 20 class in the country to No. 8. That’s not too shabby for a class that started off slower than usual, but it seems like the official visits in the month of June are starting to pay off in a big way. Mario Cristobal is showing just why he’s considered one of the nation’s best recruiters.

The Ducks’ class saw some movement on Wednesday as 247Sports released its updated Top247 (the top 247 recruits in the country); Oregon was well-represented.

So now let’s take a look at where each of the Ducks’ commits, and also targets, rank in the updated Top247.

  • Anthony Lucas, DL (No. 18) — target
  • Cyrus Moss, DE (No. 26) — target
  • Tetairoa McMillan, WR (No. 28) — target
  • Kelvin Banks, OT (No. 35) — commit
  • Jalil Tucker, ATH (No. 62) — target
  • Tobias Merriweather, WR (No. 76) — target
  • Darrius Clemons, WR (No. 133) — target
  • Brenen Thompson, WR (No. 141) — target
  • Trejon Williams, S (No. 155) — commit
  • Gracen Halton, DL (No. 173) — commit
  • Isaiah Sategna, WR (No. 189) — commit
  • Dane Key, WR (No. 232) — target

These are some solid rankings for some of the top remaining targets as well as four commits. Four players in the Ducks’ 2022 class are currently ranked in the top-200 and there’s a decent chance they could add 4-5 more of the top-250 players in the country.

Most likely Oregon football additions on Top247

Out of the list above, who is the most likely to commit to Oregon and give the Ducks their next batch of pledges?

If I had to guess, I’d say Moss (No. 26), McMillan (No. 28), Tucker (No. 62), and Merriweather (No. 76) are the most likely. It wouldn’t be such a bad cycle if Oregon added four commits in the top 100 and it would probably give the Ducks yet another top-10 class.
