Mario Cristobal’s 2022 recruiting class is coming together nicely and Oregon football could soon be adding another big-time target in the form of a four-star defensive end.

Cyrus Moss has been at the top of the Ducks’ recruiting board for a little bit now and since the Ducks have landed some other priority targets in the 2022 cycle, they can focus on the four-star defensive end from Las Vegas.

Oregon picked up a major crystal ball on 247Sports for Moss on Friday night as Greg Biggins, who is a respected national recruiting analyst who is well connected, placed his prediction. That now gives Oregon five crystal ball predictions to land Moss who is the No. 57 overall recruit and sixth-best edge rusher, according to the composite but 247Sports is even higher on him, ranking him the No. 26 recruit in the country.

It’s safe to say Oregon is the presumed favorite here and he could be making a decision soon based on all of these crystal balls and the one from Biggins which may have followed some inside info.

Notre Dame, Alabama, Arizona State, Clemson, and Florida are also in the running for the Las Vegas-based four-star so landing him won’t be a breeze.

A commitment from Moss would likely bump the Ducks’ 2022 class into the No. 7 or No. 8 position again after recently dropping to 10.

Cyrus Moss would be Oregon football’s second-best 2022 pledge

A commitment from Moss would immediately vault him to the No. 2 spot in Oregon’s 2022 class, right behind five-star offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.

That would also give the Ducks three top-200 composite players and nine four-stars or better.

Moss would be the perfect Kayvon Thibodeaux replacement for next season and would almost surely see the field immediately.
