Mario Cristobal came to Oregon football as one of the best recruiters in the country. Much to the approval of Duck fans, that hasn’t changed at all.

The Ducks have reeled in some of the best recruiting classes in school history under Cristobal and while they haven’t quite had Chip Kelly levels of success when he was in Eugene just yet, they seem to be on the verge of major accomplishments. In fact, they’ve won back-to-back Pac-12 titles.

Cristobal currently has the No. 11 recruiting class in the country for 2022 one year after bringing in the No. 6 class nationally and he’s not even remotely close to being done.

Spots are filling up, but he can be selective.

Here’s the ideal finish to the 2022 class for Cristobal and Co.

Oregon recently missed out on four-star cornerback Zeke Berry to Arizona but he claims that he still wants to keep in touch with the staff. Is this just him keeping his options open or does he actually see himself with the Ducks?

Mario Cristobal won’t have to worry much about Berry if he lands four-star athlete Jalil Tucker who projects as a defensive back at the next level.

Heck, Greg Biggins’ player comparison should have Ducks fans excited: Darius Slay. If he’s anything like one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, the Ducks will be in good hands if he does end up committing like it looks as if he’s bound to do. There are currently four crystal balls for him on 247Sports, all favoring Oregon.

Tucker is an athletic 6-0, 180-pound defensive back who was recently ranked the No. 61 overall recruit in the updated Top247.
