There’s currently no real feel on Anthony Lucas right now as 247Sports doesn’t have a single crystal ball put in for him which is rare for a recruit in the 2022 class.

That means that Oregon stands a chance here.

Lucas is high on the Ducks along with Alabama, Miami, Notre Dame, LSU, and Texas A&M, and that just means Mario Cristobal is going to have his work cut out for him here. Those are some of the best programs in the nation but the Ducks do have the advantage of being the only team that could keep him out west — if that’s the route he wants to take.

Oregon’s highest-ranked defensive lineman in the 2022 class is currently Gracen Holton who’s the No. 222 overall prospect in the composite, but Lucas would immediately eclipse that.

The Ducks could use some depth along the defensive line, especially with their top player in that position group departing after this season.

Lucas is the No. 84 overall recruit and 15th-best defensive lineman in the 2022 class, per the composite. He’s listed as the No. 18 recruit in the updated Top247.
