Folks, he’s done it again. Mario Cristobal landed another talented four-star recruit on Thursday afternoon as Oregon football’s 2022 class continues to climb the rankings.

Just weeks after landing Isaiah Sategnga, Nicholas Anderson, Kelvin Banks, Dave Iuli, and TJ Dudley to their four-star ranks in the 2022 class, Oregon picked up a pledge from Jahlil Florence.

Florence, the teammate of another priority Duck target, chose Oregon over Michigan and Washington on Thursday afternoon at his school.

This comes a week before Jalil Tucker, his four-star teammate, is set to announce.

Florence is listed as the No. 368 overall recruit in the composite rankings, but 247Sports is higher on him, rating him as a four-star and the No. 33 cornerback in the country.

When the team rankings update, Oregon is sure to make a slight jump from that No. 12 spot potentially into the top 10. When his teammates announces (likely to Oregon), the Ducks could rise even higher. And another priority recruit in Tatairoa McMillan is expected to announce within the next week as well.

Simply put, Oregon is red-hot on the recruiting trail right now.

Who could be next for Oregon football?

With Florence being that next domino that fell for the Ducks, there’s a good chance his teammate and fellow four-star Jalil Tucker follows him to Eugene. Tucker is the higher-rated prospect of the two and would be a massive get for the Ducks. He could be next.

But the aforementioned McMillan is on the board as well with a decision looming. Oregon is right there among his finalists and I wouldn’t be shocked if he chose the Ducks.

Cyrus Moss is another name to watch this summer as he continues to trend toward Oregon and the Ducks’ 2022 class should finish in the top-10 range if all of those guys commit.

Cristobal is a magician on the recruiting trail.
