Oregon football picked up a big commitment this week from four-star defensive back Jahlil Florence, adding to an already solid group.

The Ducks remained the No. 12 class in 2022 and No. 1 in the Pac-12 after the four-star’s pledge, but it could soon be on the way up into the top 10.

A couple of top targets are planning to make an announcement this week regarding their commitments and the Ducks are in a good spot with both.

And four-star wide receiver commit Isaiah Sategna hinted at the Ducks adding more 2022 commitments in the near future on Twitter.

Whenever a recruit says something like this right after a big commitment, you know that they’re relatively plugged in and know more are coming soon. That could mean the two guys announcing in the next week (Tetairoa McMillan and Jalil Tucker) are leaning toward Oregon.

Oregon’s 2022 class is currently at 17 commitments and typically, the Ducks sign anywhere between 22 and 24 recruits in each cycle and they even picked up 26 back in 2019. So I’d say the spots are filling up quickly and after the next week, there may only be a few remaining openings for a guy like Cyrus Moss to pull the trigger.

Who could be next for Oregon football?

Obviously, there’s McMillan and Tucker (both highly-rated four-stars), but who could be after them?

There are guys like Anthony Lucas, Kevin Coleman, and George Pettaway who make up the dream scenario of additions, but my best guess would be Moss. The four-star defensive end from Las Vegas has been high on the Ducks for a while now and the trend seems to be headed in that direction.

Mario Cristobal would love to have a finish to a class with McMillan and Tucker this coming week followed by Lucas, Coleman, Pettaway, and Moss. That would make for an easy top-10 group.
