Stanford is going to be a tough team to judge before the season starts. The Cardinal got back to their winning ways to end the 2020 campaign, winning four straight games after an 0-2 start and that could be some serious momentum that carries over into 2021.

Davis Mills is gone which is going to hurt the offense but now is Jack West’s time to shine. If he can prove to be a capable passer, we could see a resurgence with Stanford in 2020.

I just think Oregon will be too much here in early October with the Cardinal still trying to figure out the depth chart.

Final Score: Oregon 31, Stanford 21 (4-1, 2-0)

Tim DeRuyter gets to face his old team in Week 7 as the Ducks head back home after a bye week to face the Golden Bears of Cal.

The defense should take a step back with a new coordinator in place so the Golden Bears probably won’t have enough ability to keep up with the Ducks’ explosive offense. Cal’s offense, on the other hand, ranked No. 114 in the nation in yards per game last season. Will that improve? It can’t get much worse, but this one shouldn’t be close.

Final Score: Cal 21, Oregon 35 (5-1, 3-0)
