Heading into the 2021 season, there are a handful of players on Oregon football’s roster who are known nationally. Guys like Kayvon Thibodeaux, Noah Sewell, Mykael Wright, CJ Verdell, Mycah Pittman, and Johnny Johnson are known on a national level, but there are also some who are overlooked on an even narrower scale.

In fact, some guys are overlooked by even the most diehard of Oregon fans.

That’s not to say they’re completely forgotten, but these guys have All-Pac-12 potential and yet barely get a lick of recognition or respect.

Who are they? I give my top three.

People forget that Devon Williams was the Ducks’ leading receiver last season, but the sophomore wideout finished the shortened campaign with a team-high 286 yards and two touchdowns with 15 receptions, which was third on the team.

Yet everyone seems to be overlooking the former four-star receiver who transferred to Oregon from USC. Why? Because the receiving corps is loaded with guys like Mycah Pittman, Jaylon Redd, Johnny Johnson III, Josh Delgado, Kris Hutson, Troy Franklin, Isaah Crocker (another massively underrated receiver), and Dont’e Thornton.

Williams is as talented as any receiver on the roster and I think he’s geared up for a big season, and the lack of attention he’s getting is mind-boggling.

On any other team, he’d be the go-to receiver and an All-Pac-12 candidate. I’m ready for him to shock some people this season.
