Saturday was a great day for Oregon football fans everywhere. The Ducks opened the day for those out on the West Coast with a fantastic upset win over Ohio State in Columbus.

The win was Oregon’s first-ever over Ohio State and makes up for that national title loss back in the 2015 playoff. The Ducks looked like the better team all afternoon long and Mario Cristobal had his troops prepared despite missing Justin Flowe and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

After the win, Oregon rose up to No. 4 in the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll which goes to show that the Ducks are now in the driver’s seat to make a playoff appearance.

Let’s dive into some hot takes from Saturday’s upset win.

3. Anthony Brown still has a lot of work to do

How could I possibly say this after Anthony Brown led Oregon on the road to a win over the No. 3 team in the country while throwing two touchdown passes and racking up 236 yards? His accuracy issues are still a concern and until he fixed that, he’s going to be a slightly above-average quarterback and nothing more.

I believe he can be a really good quarterback if he works on his deep-ball accuracy and doesn’t try to force things. He doesn’t make a ton of mistakes, but sometimes he gets a little trigger happy and fires a pass that needs more touch. He misses the target too much.

This has to be a hot take because everyone was singing Brown’s praises after Saturday and I was right up there with them saying he impressed me, but his 17-of-35 completions were concerning.

Brown has a ton of work to do before this offense can reach its full potential.
