Oregon football is off to a scorching-hot start to its 2021 season. The Ducks are 4-0 with a win over now-ranked Fresno State and then-No. 3 Ohio State.

The Ducks added wins over Stony Brook and Arizona as well, but those were to be expected.

Now, Oregon heads into the month of October with lofty expectations. The schedule gets tougher from here on out and the Ducks likely need to run the table in order to be considered for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Let’s dive into some bold predictions for the month of October.

3. Thibodeaux returns to full-strength, puts up All-American numbers

We saw Kayvon Thibodeaux in a limited role against Arizona and he didn’t make much noise which was expected in his first game back from a 2.5-game absence.

We’re going to see much more from him in the month of October.

In seven games last year, he had 42 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks. He was a monster which is why many considered him the top player in college football. He’s going to put up those types of numbers again over the next four games.

Thibodeaux has just two total tackles on the season in parts of two games, but I’m going to say he finishes the month of October with 20-plus tackles, six sacks, and eight tackles for loss.

Yes, he’s an All-American for a reason.
