2. Ty Thompson has more arm talent, accuracy

It seems fairly obvious that when your passing offense ranks 90th in the nation that the quarterback position is somewhat lacking.

Anthony Brown has a decent arm, but his accuracy is lacking and he can’t make all the throws like Ty Thompson can. The veteran quarterback has the experience which may set him apart and I’m starting to think that’s the reason he’s still the starter, along with his leadership, but Thompson has more arm talent and it would take watching just one play to realize that.

And then there’s this stat that just blows my mind and proves that the staff probably doesn’t have a ton of trust in Brown and his arm:

Brown is completing just 56 percent of his 123 attempts this season and looking back at his resume, that’s on the higher on end throughout his career. Thompson has the look of a 60 percent passer and completed 6-of-9 passes in his only extended action this year.

Thompson has more arm talent and his accuracy is evident.
