Oregon football, coming off a close win against the UCLA Bruins last week, has obviously had some injuries in recent games. Two of most primary of note are one of the Ducks’ most prominent offensive weapons in CJ Verdell, who was on the verge of another breakout season, as well as freshman phenom Justin Flowe, who was looking terrific prior to his foot injury.

With this, some new playmakers will need to step up across the board to put together their seventh win this season and continue to stay on track after a previous overtime loss to Stanford.

These four are the ones I believe need to step up the most to get another win this week and give Oregon a leg up against Colorado.

The first player that should be mentioned is slot receiver Jaylon Redd, who has had a very good season so far despite minimal touches.

At 10 receptions on the season in six games played, he clearly is not getting utilized a large amount, as he is the second slot on the depth chart behind Mycah Pittman. With this, he is not someone you are going to see drawing defenders off of other receivers.

However, he should make one or two big splash plays per game, as with his 10 receptions he has 151 yards so far and two touchdowns, as well as a 15.1 yards per catch average.  If you are looking for someone with explosive potential Saturday, Redd’s your man.
